Modeling is acting. To create a moment, one must be a director of an instant. Kirk gives the same treatment to all of his images, whether a flower, boat or model. His landscapes are peaceful. His models are timeless. His philosophy of model photography is that the beauty of a butterfly's first flight is caught in the instant of its inception, before its wings are scarred by wind, weather and predators. He hopes to show the beauty of a world he wishes existed.
